[From my Flickr - that's me inside the lens]
I've been without a camera for a couple of weeks now - it broke and I sent it away somewhere to get fixed.
Being without it has made me realise just how much my camera helps me see. When I know it's there in my pocket I'm constantly scanning for interesting things to capture. Without it, the world suddenly seems less interesting, because I'm no longer paying attention.
Blogging has a similar effect on the way I process information - I'm constantly looking for connections between seemingly disparate things and for ways to package them up into posts.
They've just sent me a voucher for new camera as it was beyond repair - am looking forward to seeing again.
